2 Player Games — One Phone, Two People
Games for when there are two of you and one phone. The screen splits in half, both players put a finger down at the same time, and it starts in the browser — nothing to install, no account.

- Air Hockey — The most game-like match here. The screen splits top and bottom and you each drag a mallet. Swing harder and the puck flies harder, so it turns into a real strength duel. First to 7.
- Tap Tug-of-War — Zero seconds of explanation. Tap your side faster than they tap theirs and the rope comes your way. The safest pick against someone who never plays games.
- Land Grab — Over in 30 seconds. Paint tiles to claim ground, but you can paint over theirs too, so neither of you can stop until the last second. Good for playing several rounds back to back.
- Gomoku — The one quiet game. Turn-based, so your hands never collide — right for a long sit rather than a quick burst. Alone, you play the AI.
- Paddle Duel — The oldest form of a two-player match. One paddle each, knock the ball back. Control is a single axis, which makes it playable even when the two of you are far apart in skill.
- Reaction Time Test — It has a separate duel mode. The screen turns green and whoever presses first takes the point. A round lasts seconds — right before you stand up to leave.
One phone is enough
Online matches need both people to open a link and find a room first. None of that happens here. Lay the phone flat on the table, sit facing each other, and that is the entire setup.
All six handle multi-touch properly. Each finger only controls the half it first touched, so reaching across never moves the other player's piece. Two people hammering the screen at once never crosses inputs.
Where these get played
Waiting for food to arrive, on the train, sitting through a queue with a kid — a few spare minutes and only one phone between you. A round runs 30 seconds to two minutes, so being interrupted costs nothing.
They work the same on tablets and interactive whiteboards. A bigger screen means the two of you do not have to crowd together, which is genuinely better. Because classrooms do use these, touch coordinates were tuned so they stay accurate on large displays.
Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for
These open in the browser rather than an app store. There is no registration and nothing to answer before you start. Open the address and go.
Records stay on the device you played on. Putting a name on the leaderboard only happens when you choose to. If you want to practise alone first, all six have an AI opponent.
FAQ
Can two people really share one phone?
Yes. The screen splits in half and each player controls their own side; two simultaneous touches register separately. No second device and no internet opponent required.
Do I need to install an app?
No. Open the address in a browser and it starts. No install, no sign-up, no login.
What if I am on my own?
All six have an AI opponent, so they work solo. Gomoku and air hockey let you choose a difficulty.
Do they work on a big screen?
They run on tablets and interactive whiteboards. The bigger the screen, the easier it is for two players to claim their own space, so it suits them better rather than worse.
How long is a round?
Territory grab is 30 seconds, the reaction duel is under a minute, and the rest run one to three minutes.
