About the game
Tap Tycoon is an idle clicker where every tap on the big golden coin drops money into your pocket. Spend it on Tap Power to make each tap hit harder, then hire a whole roster of pixel businesses — from a humble Hamster Wheel to a reality-bending Galaxy Portal — that keep producing coins every second, even while you do nothing at all.
The empire never sleeps: close the tab, go to class or to bed, and when you come back the game hands you offline earnings for the time you were away. Everything autosaves on your device, numbers compress into neat 1.2K / 3.4M / 5.6B figures as they explode, and once a run earns a million coins you can Prestige — wiping the board in exchange for permanent stars that boost all future income forever. Your score is the total coins you have ever earned.
How to play
- Tap or click the golden coin (Space bar works too) to earn coins.
- Buy units in the shop — each one adds automatic coins per second.
- Unit prices rise with every copy you own, so spread your investments.
- Return daily to collect offline earnings, then Prestige when the button lights up.
Rules
- Tap income = (1 + Tap Power level) × your prestige multiplier.
- Each unit's next copy costs ×1.15 more than the last.
- Offline you earn 50% of your income rate, capped at 8 hours per visit.
- Prestige needs 1M coins earned in the current run; each star grants +10% income permanently. Taps are capped at 20 per second — auto-clickers won't help.
Strategy & tips
Buy income before power
Tap Power only pays while your finger works; units pay around the clock. After the first few minutes, most of your coins should go into automatic income.
Chase the cheapest boost
Because prices grow 15% per copy, the best deal keeps shifting. Compare coins-per-second gained per coin spent and buy whatever is currently most efficient.
Prestige early, prestige often
Your first star pays for itself in minutes. Don't hoard a run — reset as soon as prestige offers a meaningful number of stars and snowball the multiplier.
Cash in your absence
Offline pay caps at 8 hours, so two or three visits a day collect far more than one. Check in, spend the windfall on units, and leave the empire working.

Do I keep earning while I'm away?
Yes. Your businesses keep working while the page is closed — when you return you collect 50% of what they produced, for up to 8 hours away.
What does Prestige do?
Once you earn 1M coins in a run you can prestige: coins and units reset, but you gain permanent stars that each boost all future income by +10%.
Is my progress saved?
Yes. The game autosaves to your device every couple of seconds and whenever you leave the page, so you can close the tab at any time.
What should I buy first?
Early on, grab a few Hamster Wheels and some Tap Power. Once passive income flows, always buy the unit with the best income per coin spent.
