About the game

Beat Tap is a four-lane rhythm game. Notes fall down each lane toward a judgement line, and you tap the matching pad — or press its key — the moment a note lands on the line. The closer to the beat you hit, the more points you score, and consecutive hits build a combo that multiplies your rewards. Miss, and the combo resets.

Every tone is generated live with Web Audio, so there are no sound files to load and the game starts instantly on any device. It rewards focus and steady hands, and one clean run through a rising combo is a genuine rush. Your best score is saved on your device.

Strategy & tips

Keep your hands over the keys

Rest fingers on D, F, J and K so you never search for a lane. Rhythm games reward muscle memory more than raw speed.

Watch the line, not the notes

Fix your eyes just above the judgement line and let notes arrive there. Tracking each note all the way down splits your attention and costs accuracy.

Protect the combo

A long combo is worth more than any single perfect hit. When in doubt, tap for a GOOD to keep the chain alive rather than risk a miss.

FAQ

There is no sound.

Browsers unlock audio only after your first tap. If it stays silent, check your device's mute switch and media volume. The game is fully playable by sight alone.

How is the score calculated?

Each PERFECT and GOOD hit adds points, and your current combo multiplies them, so long clean streaks are where big scores come from.

Is the pattern always the same?

Notes are generated on a steady beat with varied lanes each run, so timing practice pays off while no two runs are identical.
