About the game
Sky Hop is a one-touch vertical climber. Your character bounces upward on its own every time it lands on a platform, and all you do is steer: tap the left side of the screen to drift left, the right side to drift right. Line up the next platform, land, and keep rising.
It runs instantly in your browser and is tuned for portrait, one-handed play with no download. The higher you climb the higher your score, but platforms thin out and the margin for error shrinks. Miss them all and you fall off the bottom of the screen — so every hop is a small, satisfying decision about where to aim next.
How to play
- Tap or hold the left side of the screen to move left.
- Tap or hold the right side to move right.
- On desktop, the left and right arrow keys steer instead.
- Bouncing is automatic — you only control direction.
Rules
- Landing on a platform bounces you upward automatically.
- Your score is the height you have climbed.
- The view scrolls up with you; platforms below drop away.
- Falling below the bottom of the screen ends the run.
Strategy & tips
Steer early
Nudge toward the next platform while you are still rising, not at the last second. Small early corrections beat a panicked lunge.
Use the wrap
You slide off one edge and reappear on the other, so sometimes the fastest route to a far platform is straight off the side.
Look up, not down
Keep your eyes on the platforms above your hopper. Where you are going matters far more than where you have been.
Favor the safe landing
When two platforms are options, pick the one that best sets up the hop after it. Think one jump ahead.
FAQ
How do I jump higher?
You do not jump manually — landing on any platform bounces you up. Focus entirely on steering onto the next one.
What ends the game?
Missing every platform and falling below the bottom edge of the screen. As long as you keep landing, you keep climbing.
Does it suit phones?
Yes. Sky Hop uses simple left/right taps and is designed for portrait, one-handed play.
