About the game
Sky Hopper is a one-button arcade game: your character constantly falls, and every tap gives it a small upward hop. Steer through the gaps between oncoming pipes and see how far you can travel. The rule is trivial, but the timing is unforgiving, and 'just one more try' turns into a dozen before you notice.
It runs instantly in the browser on desktop and mobile alike. Your score is the number of pipes you clear, your best is saved on your device, and the pace stays honest so every run is a fair fight against your own reflexes.
How to play
- Tap the screen, click, or press Space to flap upward.
- Do nothing and gravity pulls you down — timing is everything.
- Use Pause to take a break and Restart for a fresh run.
Rules
- Each pipe you pass through scores 1 point.
- Touching a pipe, the ground or the ceiling ends the run.
- The gap position shifts every pipe, so no two runs feel the same.
- Your highest score is stored as the best record.
Strategy & tips
Tap in a steady rhythm
Panic-tapping shoots you into the ceiling. Small, evenly spaced taps hold a smooth cruising height that is far easier to control.
Aim for the middle of the gap
Target the centre of each opening, not the edges. A little margin top and bottom absorbs mistimed taps that would otherwise clip a pipe.
Look one pipe ahead
Watch the next gap forming, not the one you are passing. Reading ahead lets you begin your climb or drop early and calmly.
FAQ
How do I score points?
You earn one point for every pair of pipes you fly through. There is no time limit — survival is the only thing that ends the run.
Does it get faster?
The speed is steady rather than accelerating, so a high score is about precision and stamina, not surviving a runaway pace.
Is my record saved?
Your best score is stored in your browser's local storage. Nothing is sent to a server unless you choose to submit to the leaderboard.
